  5. As part of my MSc Forensic Psychology dissertation, I have chosen to conduct research which aims to explore patriotic behaviours and attitudes towards Muslims and Islam. This study will involve you completing an online questionnaire, conducted using Qualtrics, which will take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. You must be over the age of 18 to take part in the study. You have the right to withdraw from the study at any point prior to submission. As this is an online survey, answers will be kept as you proceed. You cannot withdraw once you have submitted your answers. If you would like to participate in the study, please click the link below: https://uclan.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9RITn6Z8ATh7Aln https://uclan.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9RITn6Z8ATh7Aln https://uclan.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9RITn6Z8ATh7Aln If you have any questions about the study, please contact myself Rachael Fisher (RJFisher2@outlook.com) or my supervisor Dr Simon Chu. Thankyou for participating.

  10. I'm not too sure what type of music that is but I'm not too much of a fan. The beat is nice I suppose but the singing is a bit abrupt for me. I like a little more drawn out singing. I agree that Bollywood has it's fair share of corny and bad music. However, I actually like Bollywood songs, I think moreso because the language appeals to me, and word play is sometimes* clever and poetic. And I associate the music with the beautiful scenery and clothing in the music videos.
  11. “Indeed we created man from dried clay of black smooth mud. And we created the Jinn before that from the smokeless flame of fire.”
  12. This, for example, is 1,000 times better than anything Bollywood produces. Sublime, clever, gets to the point. (Subtitles on)
  13. It does. I don't like using Christian specific phrases anymore to try and bridge my understanding. Evangelicals ( and there are soooooo many here) have made the word blessing and bless a cultural code word. Yay! Thank you my brother
  14. We do indeed. The Arabic word for blessing is barakah, which is regularly used in Islamic greetings, prayers and remembrance. In fact, the full Islamic greeting contains it: Salamu alaikum wa rahmat Allahi wa *barakathu* Which translates to: Peace and the mercy and blessings of Allah upon you. I hope this was of help Uncle Owen
  15. Do we say the word blessings when describing something good from Allah(set)?
