  1. I have no idea what you're talking about..
  2. Are men actually allowed to remove chest hair? I always thought they weren't.
  3. All of the rasuls of this world all have something in common - not many people liked them. In fact they had more enemies than followers. In no way am I comparing you to a rasul of Allah, lets face it - none of us have that status. But in some ways, we're all more alike than we think we are. (Am I making any sense? I'll just carry on..) To believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers etc. is actually such a blessing that we as muslims share. Without it we would be lost, and possibly in a state worse than some kuffaar. After my Isha prayer the other night, I was thinking to myself - "what if I wasn't born a muslim?". I can't even begin to imagine what I would be doing, what kind of person I would be. But alhamdulillah, the mere fact that Allah's mercy let my soul enter a home of Islam, words can't explain how beautiful that is.. The person that I am is defined through that. Life isn't meant to be a basket of roses. Our tests, though hard as they may seem are miniscule compared to that of others. You just have to take whatever your test is, and pass it day after day. Our journeys too short to be spent over worries and problems of the dunya. If people aren't nice to you, be civil and love them for the sake of Allah. Its their default. Use your loneliness not as a weakness, but as strength. Isolate yourself and this will increase the time that you have to be at Allah's side, in ibaadat and rememberance. Through spirituality, your iman will strengthen. Sorry if that was a load of rubbish.. Alaykum Assalam.
  4. Oh right... Well a sister from here gave me the number of someone who is located in Ilford and its £20 per session. I'm going to phone her after I sort out my provisionals. Need to take another one of them passport photo things (can't find any of mine at home). If anyone wants the number just contact me.
  5. Update: Got an instructors number, reasonable price.
  6. Old posts = *sigh* why was I such a...
  7. When you realise Allah is all you have and there is no one else to turn to, you realise He indeed is all you needed in the first place.
  8. Inna Lillahi wa Innah Ilayhi Raji'oon He preferred a house in the blessed gardens of Jannah. Close to the Lord who created him. Ameen to the du'as.
  9. Doesn't Edward Said do all them colonialism books? Is he the same author?
  10. Public transports a bummer for a number of reasons. I now have an addiction for black coffee (no sugars) because of the coffee shops dotted around London stations I wouldn't ask my family.. the majority have points on their licenses not to mention road rage! I'd prefer someone who knows what they're doing.
  11. So do I - its extremely truthful Not really, unless I'm coming home when its dark - but thats nothing I can't handle. Its more of the fact that I'm feeling rather lazy, and would just prefer a car to lug around my books.
  12. ^ True. The majority are most like to take advice to those they can relate to ie. their "own kind".
  13. Ok, he may be extreme in some of his views, but I kind of grasp the concept of non-mixing. In no way am I condoning his accusations, but after coming from an all girls Islamic school then attending uni I can relate to the fitnah that goes on.. Even between those who claim to be religious.
  14. *embarassed* Thanks for the advice. I assumed most of the MM'ers here were from London? I'm just soo tired of using public transport!
  15. It's me again, with another request! I need to learn how to drive... Its been 3 years since I've had my provisional license form, which I will fill out real soon . But in the mean time I was wondering does anyone know of any female driving instructors in E.London that are capable of teaching a driving-phobic person such as myself?
