Hyderabadi Urdu

Recommended Posts

Yes it is, at least what I've seen (I'm hyderbadi so hush).

We say thum a lot more than aape because are informal like that

Oh well... then I have NO idea which hyderabadis you spend your time with

I grew up with Hyderabadis in the US, and they're very very respectful and hospitable people who do not swear and do not spit...

so how many dialects of urdu are there (just curious...)?

Many... many many many many..... too many to count...

^Even to your elders or your parents?

My mom would kill me if I go to some aunty: Thum aur chai lo gee?

Yeah same here! It's always "aap" instead of "tum" and "jee" instead of "haan".

Ive been called loonda, putta, and aawaarah so many times that when I don't get referred to these names by ammijaan or daddy, I get confused. Like wth is going on here

My Nanaba says urdu originated from HYDERABAD ok!

ps... if anything.. HYDERABAD can boast of being its own COUNTRY!

Tameez and tahzeeb is what Hyderabadis are famous for. Another thing they are famous for is the way they rip apart Urdu, into a million shreds and blow them away.

Potta, potti, tumich, baigan, pinda....there are loads and loads. :)
