Assalamalaikum,

What's that duah that all the lecturers start their lectures with? It's a long arabic one. One of the speakers at the Qur'an event told us to go learn it. What is it, and what's it mean?

Is this a shortened version of what you're talking about?

Bismillah Alhamdulillah

In the name of Allah, All praise is due to Allah

Innal hamda lillahi

Verily, all praise is due to Allah

nahmaduhu wa nasta'eenuhu wa nastighfiruh

We praise him, we seek him and we ask for his forgiveness

wa na'oodhu billahi min shuroori anfusina wa min sayyi'ati a'malina

and we seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own selves and from the evil consequences of our actions

man yahdihillahu fala mudilla lah, wa man yudlilhu fa la hadiya lah

Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide and whomsoever Allah leaves to stray none can guide him

inna afdal al hadeethi kitabullah, wa afdalil hady hadya Muhammad, wa afdalil hady hadya muhammad

The best of speech is the Book of Allah and (after this) the best of guidance/ways is that of Muhammad

wa sharral umoori muhdasaatu haa, wa kullah muhdasatin bid'ah, wa kulla bid'atin dalalah, wa kulla dalalatin finnar.

and the worst of affairs are the newly invented matters and every newly invented matter is a bid’ah, every bid’ah is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.

ash hadu anna la ilaha illa allah, wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan rasoolullah.

I testify there is no God but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah.

It is 'In the name of ALLAH the most Merciful the most beneficent'. Muslims should always start their work in the name of ALLAH.

No... she's asking about Khutbatul Haajah, which is mentioned and linked from earlier posts.
