Where I'm from, "swag" didn't mean cool. It was used to express disapproval, to describe something that is trash and a waste of time.

Though its meaning has been reshaped, the irony here is that "swag" is still often attached to things that are trash and a waste of time. :v

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this one yet:

Safe = Can be used to express thanks, to describe someone you're on good terms with, or can be used instead of "hello/good to see you" or "bye".

That's weird because I thought swag came from the word swagger which means:

Verb
Walk or behave in a very confident and typically arrogant or aggressive way: "he swaggered along the corridor".
Noun
A very confident and typically arrogant or aggressive gait or manner.
Adjective
Denoting a coat or jacket cut with a loose flare from the shoulders.

Slang here is always changing. But the meaning I am most familiar with is not the one that is more widely-used. If you say to me, "That's swag" I will initially think you're saying "That's crap".
