Songs that you can relate to?

Recommended Posts

Yo.

Is there a song that you relate you? That every word seems to be talking about you? Ever had that?

I know how cheesy it sounds but I relate sooooooo much to Augustana's ''Boston'' song (non-superficial purposes). I think we all can to some extent; the feeling to leave, start over, a new life.

In the light of the sun, is there anyone? Oh it has begun...

Oh dear you look so lost, eyes are red and tears are shed,

This world you must have crossed... she said...

You don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah,

She said

You don't know me, and you don't wear my chains... oh yeah,

Essential yet appealed, carry all your thoughts across

An open field,

When flowers gaze at you... they're not the only ones who cry

When they see you

She said...

You don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah,

She said

You don't know me, and you don't wear my chains... oh yeah,

She said I think I'll go to Boston...

I think I'll start a new life,

I think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name,

I'll get out of California, I'm tired of the weather,

I think I'll get a lover and fly him out to Spain...

Oh yeah and I think I'll go to Boston,

I think that I'm just tired

I think I need a new town, to leave this all behind...

I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset,

I hear it's nice in the Summer, some snow would be nice... oh yeah,

You don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah...

Boston... where no one knows my name... yeah

Where no one knows my name...

Where no one knows my name...

Boston...

No one knows my name.

Em Jay- feeling like that and listening to songs which compound the feelings are a pretty lethal combo! Like listening to Damien Rice's 'O' when you're sad, it's pretty much a formula for suicide.... That said, Goo Goo Doll's Iris has to be up there.

I dunno what it is about these two songs, if I listen to them i LOVE them, I could play them all day long, but when you need to avoid it and just read the lyrics it doesn't capture you in the same way.

Coldplay - Lost/Coldplay - Trouble

I think if it wasn't for the promises I keep making, I wouldn't stop listening to them.

- SW

ps - I dunno about relating though :/ It's just something about these two songs that I really sticks in my head. I don't think I could share the proper songs that I like, thatgivesawaytoomuchaboutaperson

Used to be able to relate to songs. Don't anymore. Listening to too many songs makes me depressed so I try to avoid them.
