Okey dokes. :) Since ya helped me: I think songs count as poetry. The lyrics, I mean.

Here's excerpts from mine

From Iqbal's "Gul-e-Rangeen" (I just googled a random translation, dunno how good it is):

"Ah! O colourful rose, this hand is not one of a tormentor

How can I explain to you that I am not a flower-picker?

What concern have I of the intricacies of the scientific eye?

Like a lover, I see you with a nightingale's eye

Despite your hundred tongues, you have chosen silence

What secret is it that is concealed in your bosom?

Like me, you are a leaf from the garden of Toor

I am far from the garden, you are also far from the garden

You are content, but I am scattered like a fragrance

I remain wounded by the sword of love in my search

Yet, this anxiety may be the means to my fulfillment

This torment may be a source of intellectual illumination

This exhaustion of mine may be the source of strength for me

My mirror may be the envy of the cup of Jam

This constant search is a candle illuminating the world

And teaches the steed of human comprehension to softly gallop"

      I love the last few stanzas.

And the Urdu:

Ah jazaakillah for the vidoes Hazoo!

Does Urdu writing look like henna patterns to anyone else? Or am I to pay a visit to specsavers?

Only r-z says that. Don't take things he says to heart. I'm pretty sure everyone else enjoys your poetry.

The Persian script IS prettier and more flowy than the Arabic one, so I get what you mean. :)

Disregarding the fact that they have like the exact same alphabet almost... :P

Hey, while I may be one of the biggest critics of your work (and you know that anyway), I'm not r-z. So post away. :D
