Getting Our Acts Together.

Recommended Posts

As-Salaam alaikum,

We have read in in the Holy Qur'an where Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, says:--

"What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that

you would not be returned to Us"? (Surat Mumineen, 115)

"What, does man reckon he shall be left to roam at will?" (Surat Qiyama, 36)

These 2 Noble Ayats remind us all to get our acts together and call ourselves to account before the Divine Judgement catches up with us. In this regard, the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said:

"A mindful person is he who takes his lower self [ego] under control, calls it

to account, and performs good deeds for the world to come. A foolish person

is the one who expects something good from the Almighty in vain, while

following the desires of his lower self." [ Tirmidhi, Qiyamah 25; Ibn Majah, Zuhd, 31 ].

I had the pleasure of meeting Muslims during my recent Umran and i loved it. And there were many reasons for them to convert to Islam. One of the main reasons was the message of the Prophet. They love the peace and tranquility associated with it. Many women love the respect Islam gives to women. I love talking to converts since they have the most amazing stories. Why American white males are converting to Islam is another interesting aspect.
