Last film you watched?

I didn't really enjoy Beauty and the Beast. i don't understand why they would change anything about it. Why did they make the Prince an adult when the Enchantress cursed him? It throws the whole thing off and even feeds into the Stockholm Syndrome argument. He as an illiterate 11 year old boy who had no manners and no people to socialise with and then grew up as an animal with household objects to talk to.

The song at the beginning they didn't have Gaston dropping her book in the mud or asking how she can read it when there are no pictures. The whole movie felt fragmented and didn't fit. They had a script and a movie to work with, why not stick with it? Just because it's life action doesn't mean it needed to be changed.

Anyone watch Wonder Woman? It was a good movie, got to say that I enjoyed it better than Batman v Superman (lol) But it was very off putting having Gal Gadot as a main character who portrays what she, in real life, is seemingly against with her strong pro-Israel stance. So I found that I couldn't really enjoy it as much as I would have had she not been like that in real life or had I not known about it.

Everyone is going on about what a great feminist movie it is, and I am sure, in some ways it is, but in the end a guy still saved everyone? And he sacrificed himself doing it (the scene was just so Captain America-ish). So who is the real hero? Even with Aries dead, people are still ♥♥♥♥ty and there were/ are more wars so her killing him didn't make much difference anyways.

Watched quite a few things in the last few days.

The Arthur movie - it was quite good, but they should have just went with a different title and not tried to link it to the Arthur story. But I guess that is how you get bums in seats these days.

Hidden Figures - I loved this movie. I felt like it was well done and showed a side to history that rarely gets aired and hopefully it made people think about their own privilege. How did this not get any Oscar nominations? Or did I miss that?

Pirates 5 - I enjoyed it, don't care what anyone says. This is not supposed to be some classical work or anything, its a fun movie and it was fun.

Get Out - Lord, this movie was just crazy! Enjoyed it though.

Black Mass - really good movie. Anyone who hasn't watched Depp in his earlier movies and can't understand the hype around him should watch this to see that he can actually act. It was a good watch.

Sing - cute movie and fun story to relax to.

Sicario. I didn't like how they portrayed the woman in the movie. Just reinforcing typical stereotypes.

I'm watching V for Vendetta and yes I've never seen it before. So that's where the anonymous mask comes from!

I saw that new Pakistani movie, it was funny and PG so please go and support even if you're not a fan. "Punjab Nahi Jahungi."

I am also excited about the new IT movie, and I can't wait to watch it with the nerdy gang/aunts & uncles & bro. :idiot: I am craving more Nachos + cheese + salsa

make nachos at home by getting some tortilla wraps from the shops, brushing them on both sides with oil, chopping them into little triangles and putting them on a baking tray in the oven at 200c for about 3 minutes. You then want to take them out, flip them, and smother them in grated cheese and pop them back in for another 3 minutes.

Before this you can either prep some guacamole or salsa for tasty dips.

Hey Mo- sounds yummy :yummy: I had to go and make myself a grilled cheese burger as I was that hungry. I have made my own salsa, but the already made one is different than home made. I think the experience of eating Nachos in the cinemas before it gets cold, is more fun than eating at home sometimes.

I watched my first horror movie at the cinema, late at night with my nerdy fam.

It's called The It and they use kids because naturally we feel protective over them.

I didn't like the Gore or the loud noise in the cinema or the build-up music.

They changed it from the original so didn't stay true to it.

I haven't seen all of the original because too scary!
