How many languages can you speak/understand ?

uhmm...i know english, punjabi and urdu...

 

understand latin (did a-level), hindi (sooo similar to urdu, so does it even count??), german (but beginning to forget it) and am learning dutch (it's the hubby-to-be's language ^_^ ).

 

 

My dad speaks 15 languages, masha Allah <_< Sometimes he shouts at the tv in Italian...

K lets see English, Urdu, can understand most punjabi but i can't speak it :S, took three years of French, and yea Hindi is almost the same as Urdu but hey its still another language!!

I can speak english (durr), guji, urdu, upto AS level arabic and upto GCSE french :)

yeah, he knows Punjabi, Urdu, English, Swahili, Gujurati, Hindi, Arabic, Afrikaans, Italian, Sinhalese and some others that I don't remember. i really dunno what he needs all those for or how he found the time to learn... :blink:

 

forgot about French, but I'm not gonna count it, cos I can't remember a flipping word from school!!!!! le chien = dog. There, that's the extent of my knowledge :P

I have always wanted to do that! I do it in spanish instead :-/

I can speak Guji & My Urdu isnt that bad.. My Spanish is ok (still learning in school) and my french is :blink: .

 

Thats abooot it.

 

Oh yeah, I speak english (duh) :I

Haha :lol: (Now thats what I call funny!) , my spanish isnt that good so I just used to shout - Qué era eso?? all the time :-/

I can speak and read and understand Urdu, English, French...although my French is more like pidgin.

I can mostly understand Punjabi [because my dad speaks it] and Hindi [because it is practically Urdu]

 

I really want to learn Arabic, Russian, Italian and Persian.

I can speak n understand Hindi/Urdhu.... can speak understand and write -- French, English, Tamil and Sinhalese

 

sooo all around 6 languages :D

would love to learn more n more languages INSHALLAH

MashaAllah, amazing how people can speak so many languages.

 

I (speak, write, read, and understand) English and Arabic.

I understand almost all of the Arabic dialects :P

Other than that... uhh... just a few words from some other languages.

Oh jeepers....

 

MashaAllah you multi-linguals

 

I speak/read/write arabic (understand all dialects, after the Egyptian dialect

I like the lebanese, ya'ni :D )

 

Took 3 years of french... Mais je ne l'ai pas aimé du tout

If I dont practice soon enough, I may forget most of it..its been 2 years

and Ive been French free WOPEEE

 

Would love to learn German, my parents know it

the only thing I know is Ich liebe diche...and DAS BOOT!

hehehehe "The Boat" :rolleyes: ..and some other tid bits

and whatever
